For those who enjoy a good Myers’ Briggs test- I am the INFJ or the Advocate. As the Advocate, I am a person who enjoys making the world a better place for others to enjoy. When I first started in graphic design, I only considered my future career as a way to make the world a more visually appealing place. Design is so much more. I love applying my creative problem-solving skills to provide people with better experiences that have been designed to address their unmet needs.

What has that looked like to me? I created feel-good experiences for homesick students and their families through illustrative, GVSU-themed postcards. I reorganized the thinking behind a national movie theater brand to streamline its programs and brand design. I thought about how an large international corporation could cater its experience and offerings to help people improve their quality of life. I embraced collaboration in a new way to build a more purposeful curriculum experience for the GVSU Honors College student. I brought color and approachability to otherwise dry and challenging legal content in the technology industry.

Every design is an opportunity to improve the world and I look forward to a lifetime of creating impactful experiences.
